README This is a little HOWTO on running stats for IDL. The process is pretty simple: - Open up ZDStats. - Set the location of ZDaemon, the location of the output folder, and the location of your WADs. - Either load a demo or connect to a server. - Watch the game/demo, then close ZDaemon. - Click the [ Browse ] button next to 'Output Folder:' - Open the event log file using WordPad - The event log file will look something like 20120116_193642.json. - Ensure that the log only contains rounds you wish to be part of the game. Rounds before and after the actual game should be deleted. - Round change events have 'type'='map_change' in them. - Ensure that the last event in the log does not have a ',' at the end of it (unlike the other events, which *MUST* have a ',' at the end of them). - Edit the ZDaemon log file, and leave the file open for future reference. - This will be something like 20120116_193642.txt. - The event log you will upload will have a '.json' extension. - Go to the admin section at idl.org. - Go to 'profiles'. - Log in. - Click on the little blue 'admin' link. - Go to Aliases. - Refer to the ZDaemon log file you previously opened. - For every player's name in that log file, ensure there is a valid alias in the giant 'Select an alias' dropdown box. - This ***MUST*** be done before log uploading. - Once you've clicked on the box, typing will search the list (very handy!) - A 'valid' alias is one that has the exact name of the player as well as an entry for 'Stored Player'. Don't bother with 'Was Namefake'. - Be sure to click on the [ Save Changes ] button when you're done. - Afterwards, go to Game Logs. - Select the game for which you wish to upload a log for. - Upload the corresponding .json file from the ZDStats output folder. - This will be something like 20120116_193642.json. - This will take a while. - If the team scores are wrong, that means that teams played on the wrong colors. You'll have to go to Games and switch the teams around there.
